The Grid Calculation Worksheet is a 3-step process which results in a custom grid target rate calculation. The first step is the Repair Order Survey by Labor Category, which involves entering repair order labor dollars and hours by labor category. Step 2 is the Labor Rate Market Survey, a survey of competitor labor rates. The third and final step, Grid Rate Calculation, is almost entirely automated - here's where you find out if your desired customer effective labor rate is within recommended parameters.

The Service Advisor Repair Order Survey is another 3-step process. The bulk of data entry takes place during the initial step, a Repair Order Survey for up to 8 Service Advisors. Detailed calculations take over from there to create summaries for each Service Advisor and Total Shop. Calculated data is compared to manually entered objectives to provide a basis for comparison.
